At this particular production location, the safety measures were no longer adequate. A list was compiled of all the parts that needed better shielding and protection. But that was not enough. It is crucial to carefully consider how the shielding is installed. The entire line must remain accessible for maintenance and cleaning. It is essential to collaborate closely with the floor staff, who work with the system every day and know best what will or will not work.

Custom-made

In this project, various custom-made shields were installed, including fixed barriers, swinging gates, mesh enclosures, and more. All of this needed to be integrated into the system. This required close collaboration with the electrical partner and the software programmer.

Top priority

While safety was the top priority with no compromises, achieving a balance between safety and accessibility made this a complex project. However, the final result was one that ultimately satisfied all parties involved.
