Design and production of an ergonomic lifting aid

‘Old-fashioned’ method

A customer of ours had manual handling of products at a certain point in the production line. The products weigh 20 kg each, and it was no longer feasible to continue using this ‘old-fashioned’ method.

Cost-effective

An investigation was conducted to see if this step could be performed by a robot, but it was not cost-effective. Therefore, we designed and had produced an ergonomic lifting aid. While a person is still needed to perform the task, the lifting aid reduces the physical strain on them.
