How it all began…

Hi. My name is Herman. I am the founder of Koobs Engineering. I would love to share a bit more about the story behind my business and how it all came to life.

Dutch origin

More than 10 years ago I started working as an engineer after my education in the Netherlands. After working in the industry for several years (I worked mainly in and for China, the Arab emirates and Europe), I decided very soon that I preferred to work independently. I could further develop my skills but especially my creativity. – Cause at heart I am a thoroughbred artist.

Finetuning

I quickly discovered the type of projects I enjoy most: the ones where no one knows how to move forward, and everything seems stuck. There my work truly begins. It is where my strengths as both an engineer and an artist come into play. That is why I founded ‘Koobs Projecten’ in 2016.

Artist and engineer

In addition to my work as an engineer, I had owned an art gallery together with my wife. During the pandemy we decided to emigrate to Sweden. Arriving here, I wanted to work with my hands again.

And now in Swedish

I decided to work in Swedish carpentry to learn more about scandinavian building styles. Now that I have learned how I can build a scandinavian house, I again want to give my business in engineering more attention.

Chapter two

And this is where a new story begins: ‘Koobs Projecten’ has become ‘Koobs Engineering‘. Now I am connecting experts with businesses within my company and I will continue to let my artistry creativity run free in engineering – but now on the global market.
